Joining & Playing within the ASFA 

Entry to the ASFA is open from October to March for the following season  starting in April. Priority is given to current financial ASFA teams first, followed by new team entrants. Teams can apply via this web-site or by completing an ASFA Entry Form. All teams wishing to enter should be present at the AGM held in February. A deposit from all teams is required with the balance of fees to be paid at least 2 weeks prior to the first game.

Registration must be received by the Registrations Officer NO LATER than Friday 5:00 pm 11th April 2010
 
Additional players must be advised to the Registrations Officer NO LATER than 5:00 pm on the Friday preceding the game in which the “new” player intends to play

Players participating in the Northern Regional Football League (NRFL) must serve a NINE (9) DAY stand-down period before being permitted to play in the ASFA, participation is defined as being named on a NRFL team card and taking an active part in the fixture, i.e. starting line-up, used substitute or being cautioned (yellow or red card or Referee’s report) by
the match official
 
Players participating in the NRFL Reserve competition ARE PERMITTED to play in the ASFA.
It is the responsibility of all Team Managers to inform the Registrations Officer of ANY squad member who is playing on a Saturday and the club they play for.
