NOTES FOR CAPTAINS & MANAGERS

MATCHES:

  • For all home games, you need to phone the opposition captain/manager on the Monday before the game, to confirm the ground, kick-off time, strip colours etc. (The away team must change should colours clash). Playing conditions are defined in ASFA Regulations 4, 5 & 7.

*NOTE: "Rolling substitutes" are permitted in Divisions 3, 4 & 5 only, and only if there is no referee appointed.*

  • Note that all fields must be prepared no later than 30 minutes prior to kick-off, and ready for inspection by the referee. All fields must have goal nets and four corner posts (minimum height 1.52m above the ground).
  • Should no referee be appointed to the game, or if the referee does not show, the home team is responsible for providing a referee, even if it means that the home team play 'short'. Refer ASFA Regulation 8.
  • Should your home ground be closed for Home games, your options are (in order):

(1) Phone the opposition captain/manager to use their ground (still your home game)
(2) Phone Craig Harrison (09 482 2444 or 021 800 431) for an alternative ground
(3) Cancel the game (the first two options must be attempted before cancellation)

*Note: In all cases, notify the Referees Convener to enable the referee to be informed*

  • Any protests regarding the game etc. must be made to the Judicial Officer, in writing, before the Wednesday after the game. Refer to ASFA Regulation 11.

TEAM CARDS:

  • All players intending to play must be listed on the Team Card before each match, with their FULL name and shirt numbers. Include any intended substitutes and players who may be late.
  • All players must be fully registered and have been issued with (and be carrying) a photo I.D. of some form (Drivers Licence, 18+ Card, ASFA photo I.D.) before playing.
  • Team Cards must be signed by the home captain/manager, the away captain/manager and the referee (official or otherwise) at the end of the game.
  • Completed Team cards must be posted to the ASFA, to arrive BEFORE Friday 4.00pm . All match cards now carry the ASFA mailing address, and are 'Freepost'.
  • There is a 1 point penalty (no exceptions) that will be imposed for late/no cards.

  • The results service phone numbers are 09 482 2444 or 021 800 431.
  • Results must be advised no later than 7.00pm on the day of the match (inc. Cup/Plate games).
